As a sole practitioner I bring my skills and experience to a conversation with clients to explore if I can deliver what they require. I’m not interested in offering cookie cutter approaches, nor do I have products or methodologies I’m looking to sell. Every engagement is different, and I bring my best thinking to help clients achieve their objectives. I’m in business to help my clients achieve their goals, not to build my brand.

  • There’s nothing scarier for most people than talking to a journalist. Years of watching politicians be taken to task can elevate this to dentist level scary! Yet it needn’t be this dire. Understanding the media, its role, its motivations, and your place in a story can allow you to feel more comfortable at the thought of engaging. I take a realistic and no-nonsense approach to media relations arming people with the knowledge so they can tell their stories with confidence.

  • The rise of social media hasn’t killed traditional media. Whether it’s a proactive opportunity you want to place, or you’re receiving reactive calls you’re not sure what to do with, I have expertise in working with journalists across print, radio, digital/ wire, and television. I can provide a realistic assessment of your chances of mainstream media and how to increase, or reduce, the likelihood of you being featured.

  • Engaging with Government is not what most business people are used to doing. Yet it is increasingly important. From climate change to the increasing number of regulated industries, Government plays a substantial role in our economy and society. I am not on Lobbying Registers as direct lobbying is not a focus of my practice. With my experience in and around Government and politics, I can support you to engage effectively with Government by helping you prepare and acting as your strategic counsel.
